The Oud-Zuid district in Amsterdam is a popular area for visitors to Amsterdam; all the major museums are located in this area: Van Gogh museum, Rijks museum and Stedelijk museum are all located at the Museum square. Besides the culture you will find excellent opportunities for shopping in this area: you can enjoy the famous daily Albert-Cuyp market or shop till you drop in designer boutiques on the P.C. Hooftstraat. For relaxation you might enjoy walking or jogging in the nearby Vondel park or if you are looking for less action you might want to visit one of the many cafes or restaurants in the Oud-Zuid area. In the surrounding area you will find many different types of restaurants and bars. If you really want to go a tourist hot spot go a little bit further to the Leidseplein where you will everything you are looking for.
